Thesis Abstract

Abstract
Osteoarthritis (OA) is a common degenerative joint disease affecting dogs, leading to pain, reduced mobility, and decreased quality of life. Stem cell therapy has emerged as a promising treatment modality for OA due to its regenerative potential. This thesis aims to assess the efficacy of stem cell therapy in managing OA in canines. The study included a comprehensive literature review to establish the background and rationale for using stem cells in OA treatment. The research methodology involved the selection of canine subjects with confirmed OA diagnosis, the administration of stem cell therapy, and the evaluation of clinical outcomes over a specified period. The findings from this study revealed significant improvements in pain relief, joint function, and overall quality of life in dogs treated with stem cell therapy compared to conventional treatments. Through a detailed discussion of the results, this thesis highlights the potential of stem cell therapy as a safe and effective option for managing OA in canines. The conclusion emphasizes the importance of further research and clinical trials to validate these findings and optimize the implementation of stem cell therapy in veterinary practice. Overall, this study contributes valuable insights into the field of regenerative medicine and its application in treating OA in canine patients.

Thesis Overview

The project titled "Assessment of the Efficacy of Stem Cell Therapy in Canine Osteoarthritis" focuses on investigating the effectiveness of stem cell therapy in treating osteoarthritis in dogs. Osteoarthritis is a common degenerative joint disease that affects many dogs as they age, leading to pain, stiffness, and decreased mobility. Conventional treatments for osteoarthritis in dogs often provide limited relief and may have side effects. Stem cell therapy has emerged as a promising alternative approach for treating osteoarthritis in dogs. Stem cells have the potential to regenerate damaged tissues, reduce inflammation, and promote healing in the affected joints. However, the efficacy of stem cell therapy in canine osteoarthritis is still being studied, and there is a need for more research to determine its effectiveness and safety. This project aims to assess the efficacy of stem cell therapy in treating canine osteoarthritis through a comprehensive research study. The research will involve evaluating the clinical outcomes of dogs treated with stem cell therapy, assessing changes in pain levels, joint function, and mobility, and investigating any potential side effects or complications associated with the treatment. By conducting this research, we hope to contribute valuable insights into the use of stem cell therapy as a potential treatment option for canine osteoarthritis. The findings of this study may help veterinarians and pet owners make informed decisions about managing osteoarthritis in dogs and improving their quality of life. Overall, this project seeks to advance our understanding of stem cell therapy in veterinary medicine and its potential benefits for dogs suffering from osteoarthritis.
