Zoonotic diseases pose a significant threat to human and animal health, particularly in urban and rural communities where human-animal interactions are more prevalent. This thesis investigates the prevalence and risk factors associated with zoonotic diseases in both urban and rural settings, aiming to enhance our understanding of these diseases and inform effective preventive strategies. The study begins with a comprehensive literature review that examines existing research on zoonotic diseases, their transmission dynamics, and the factors contributing to their spread within communities. The review highlights the importance of addressing zoonotic diseases as a One Health issue, emphasizing the interconnectedness of human, animal, and environmental health. Following the literature review, the research methodology section outlines the study design, data collection methods, and analysis techniques employed to investigate the prevalence and risk factors of zoonotic diseases. This section details the sampling strategy, data collection tools, and statistical analyses used to analyze the data collected from both urban and rural communities.
