Telemedicine, the practice of providing healthcare remotely using telecommunication technologies, has gained significant attention in recent years across various fields of medicine. However, its application in veterinary practice remains relatively unexplored. This thesis aims to investigate the potential benefits, challenges, and ethical considerations of utilizing telemedicine in veterinary care. The research methodology involves a comprehensive literature review, interviews with veterinary professionals, and a survey of pet owners to gather insights on the current landscape and perceptions of telemedicine in veterinary practice. Chapter one provides an introduction to the topic, background information, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance of the study, structure of the thesis, and definition of terms. Chapter two presents a detailed literature review covering ten key aspects related to telemedicine in veterinary practice, including technology adoption, regulatory frameworks, patient outcomes, and client satisfaction. Chapter three outlines the research methodology, including the research design, data collection methods, sampling techniques, and data analysis procedures. The chapter also discusses ethical considerations and limitations of the study. Chapter four presents an in-depth discussion of the findings, analyzing the survey results, interview data, and literature review findings to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities in implementing telemedicine in veterinary care.
