Antibiotic resistance is a growing concern in veterinary medicine, particularly in zoonotic pathogens that can be transmitted between animals and humans. This thesis explores the analysis of antibiotic resistance in zoonotic pathogens in companion animals, aiming to provide insights into the prevalence, mechanisms, and implications of antibiotic resistance in this context. The introduction sets the stage by highlighting the importance of understanding and addressing antibiotic resistance in zoonotic pathogens. The background of the study reviews existing literature on antibiotic resistance, zoonotic pathogens, and companion animals to provide a foundation for the research. The problem statement identifies the gaps in knowledge and the need for further investigation into this critical issue. The objectives of the study outline the specific goals and research questions to be addressed. The limitations of the study and the scope of the research are also discussed, along with the significance of the study in advancing our understanding of antibiotic resistance in zoonotic pathogens in companion animals.
