Telemedicine, the remote delivery of healthcare services, has emerged as a promising tool in veterinary medicine. This thesis explores the opportunities and challenges associated with the use of telemedicine in veterinary care. The study delves into the background of telemedicine in the veterinary field, highlighting its potential to enhance access to veterinary services and improve patient outcomes. The research identifies key challenges such as regulatory issues, technological limitations, and concerns around the quality of care delivered through telemedicine platforms. The objectives of this study are to assess the current state of telemedicine in veterinary care, identify the opportunities it presents for veterinarians and pet owners, and examine the challenges that need to be addressed for its effective implementation. The research methodology involves a comprehensive literature review to analyze existing studies, reports, and guidelines related to telemedicine in veterinary medicine. Additionally, a survey of veterinary professionals and pet owners will be conducted to gather insights on their perceptions and experiences with telemedicine. The findings of this study highlight the potential benefits of telemedicine in veterinary care, including improved access to specialized care, reduced stress for animals, and increased convenience for pet owners. However, challenges such as data security concerns, limitations in physical examination, and the need for clear regulatory frameworks pose significant barriers to the widespread adoption of telemedicine in veterinary practice. The discussion section critically examines the implications of the study findings, emphasizing the need for collaborative efforts among stakeholders to overcome the challenges associated with telemedicine in veterinary care. Recommendations are provided to enhance the integration of telemedicine into veterinary practice, including the development of standardized protocols, training programs for veterinarians, and ongoing research to evaluate the efficacy of telemedicine services. In conclusion, this thesis underscores the transformative potential of telemedicine in veterinary care while acknowledging the complexities and limitations that must be addressed for its successful implementation.
