The study employs a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative data analysis with qualitative insights to provide a comprehensive understanding of the current state of public spaces in the urban environment. Chapter 1 provides an introduction to the research topic, outlining the background, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the thesis, and key definitions.
