Abstract
Public transportation plays a crucial role in shaping urban development and enhancing accessibility in growing cities. This thesis aims to assess the impact of public transportation on urban development and accessibility in a rapidly expanding city context. The study delves into the interconnected relationship between public transportation systems, urban growth patterns, and accessibility levels within the city. Through a comprehensive review of existing literature, ten key factors influencing the impact of public transportation on urban development and accessibility were identified. These factors serve as the foundation for the research methodology employed in this study. The research methodology comprises a mixed-method approach, incorporating both qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis techniques. Data will be gathered through surveys, interviews, and spatial analysis tools to provide a holistic understanding of the dynamics between public transportation, urban development, and accessibility. The study will focus on eight main components within the research methodology to ensure a comprehensive investigation into the research topic. Findings from the research revealed significant correlations between public transportation infrastructure, urban growth patterns, and accessibility levels in the growing city under study. The discussion of findings will explore these relationships in depth, highlighting the implications for urban planning and policy-making. The analysis will also address the limitations encountered during the research process and propose recommendations for future studies in this field.
