This thesis explores the impact of Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) on sustainable urban growth. TOD is a planning strategy that focuses on creating compact, mixed-use communities around transit stations to promote sustainable transportation and land use patterns. The study investigates how TOD initiatives influence urban growth patterns, sustainability goals, and overall quality of life in urban areas. The research begins with a comprehensive literature review that examines existing studies on TOD, sustainable urban development, and urban growth management strategies. It highlights the benefits and challenges associated with implementing TOD projects and identifies key factors that contribute to their success or failure. Methodologically, the study employs a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative analysis of urban data with qualitative assessment through interviews and surveys with stakeholders involved in TOD projects.
