Abstract
This thesis presents a comprehensive investigation into the impact of urban green spaces on community well-being, focusing on a specific city as a case study. Urban green spaces play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for residents in cities, providing opportunities for recreation, social interaction, and environmental benefits. The study aims to assess the various dimensions of well-being influenced by the presence of green spaces in urban environments and to understand the specific mechanisms through which these spaces contribute to community well-being. The research methodology involves a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative surveys with qualitative interviews and site observations to gather comprehensive data on the perceptions and experiences of residents regarding urban green spaces. The study will also utilize Geographic Information System (GIS) mapping to analyze the spatial distribution and accessibility of green spaces within the city. The findings of the study are expected to provide valuable insights into the specific ways in which urban green spaces impact community well-being, including physical health, mental well-being, social cohesion, and environmental sustainability.
