Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) has emerged as a sustainable urban planning strategy aimed at promoting efficient transportation systems, enhancing urban mobility, and improving accessibility within metropolitan areas. This thesis investigates the impact of TOD on urban mobility and accessibility in a specific metropolitan area, focusing on the integration of land use and transportation planning to create vibrant and livable communities. The introduction provides an overview of the research topic, highlighting the significance of TOD in addressing contemporary urban challenges such as traffic congestion, air pollution, and urban sprawl. The background of the study explores the conceptual framework of TOD, emphasizing the principles of compact, mixed-use development around transit nodes to encourage walking, cycling, and the use of public transportation.
