Transit-oriented development (TOD) has emerged as a promising strategy to address urban mobility challenges by promoting efficient land use and transportation integration. This thesis aims to assess the impact of TOD on urban mobility patterns in the context of contemporary urban planning. The study investigates the relationship between TOD principles and their effects on travel behavior, mode choice, and overall urban mobility dynamics. Through a comprehensive literature review, this research provides a theoretical framework for understanding the key concepts and principles of TOD and their implications for urban mobility. The research methodology involves a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative data analysis and qualitative case studies to explore the practical implementation and outcomes of TOD projects in various urban settings. The study evaluates the effectiveness of TOD in reducing car dependency, promoting sustainable transportation modes, and enhancing accessibility within urban areas.
