Urban redevelopment projects play a crucial role in the sustainable development and growth of cities. In recent years, there has been a shift towards implementing smart growth strategies to ensure that urban redevelopment projects are carried out in a way that promotes economic, social, and environmental sustainability. This thesis explores the implementation of smart growth strategies in urban redevelopment projects, focusing on their impact on urban planning and development. Chapter One provides an introduction to the study, outlining the background, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance of the study, and the structure of the thesis. The chapter also includes a definition of terms to provide clarity on key concepts related to smart growth strategies in urban redevelopment projects.
