Abstract
This thesis explores the intricate relationship between social media usage and cultural identity formation among young adults in contemporary society. The pervasive influence of social media platforms on individuals, particularly the youth, has become a focal point of interest for sociologists and anthropologists. Through an in-depth investigation, this study aims to shed light on how social media engagement shapes the construction and expression of cultural identity among young adults. The research begins with a comprehensive review of existing literature on the subject, examining various theoretical frameworks and empirical studies that have explored the impact of social media on identity formation. This literature review section provides a solid foundation for understanding the complexities involved in the intersection of social media and cultural identity.
