Abstract
This thesis explores the impact of virtual assistants on modern secretarial practices through a comparative analysis. The rapid advancements in technology have brought about significant changes in the way administrative tasks are handled, with virtual assistants emerging as a popular solution for enhancing efficiency and productivity in the workplace. The study aims to investigate how virtual assistants are transforming traditional secretarial roles and responsibilities, and to compare their effectiveness in different organizational settings. The research begins with an introduction to the topic, providing background information on the evolution of secretarial practices and the emergence of virtual assistants. The problem statement highlights the need to understand the implications of integrating virtual assistants into modern office environments. The objectives of the study are outlined to guide the research process, while the limitations and scope of the study are clearly defined to provide a framework for the investigation. A comprehensive literature review is conducted in Chapter Two, which examines existing studies and theories related to virtual assistants and secretarial practices. The review covers ten key areas, including the role of virtual assistants in improving productivity, communication, and task management in the workplace. It also explores the challenges and opportunities associated with integrating virtual assistants into office environments. Chapter Three focuses on the research methodology employed in this study. In Chapter Four, the findings of the study are presented and discussed in detail.
