The process of globalization has significantly impacted traditional religious practices and beliefs around the world. This thesis explores the complex interplay between globalization and traditional religious systems, focusing on how various aspects of globalization such as technology, media, migration, and cultural exchange are reshaping religious traditions. Through a comprehensive literature review and empirical research, this study examines the extent to which globalization influences the preservation, adaptation, or transformation of traditional religious practices and beliefs. Chapter One provides an introduction to the research topic, presenting the background of the study, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, and structure of the thesis. It also defines key terms essential for understanding the subsequent chapters. Chapter Two offers a detailed literature review comprising ten key areas that shed light on the relationship between globalization and traditional religious practices.
