Abstract
This thesis explores the impact of globalization on indigenous spiritual practices, with a focus on how the forces of globalization have influenced and transformed these traditional belief systems. Indigenous spiritual practices are deeply rooted in the cultural and historical contexts of indigenous communities around the world, and they play a vital role in shaping the identity and worldview of these communities. However, the processes of globalization, driven by technological advancements, economic integration, and cultural exchange, have brought about significant changes in the way indigenous spiritual practices are perceived, practiced, and transmitted. The research begins with an introduction that sets the context for the study, highlighting the significance of indigenous spiritual practices and the implications of globalization on these practices. The background of the study provides a comprehensive overview of indigenous spiritual practices, their historical development, and the challenges they face in the era of globalization. The problem statement identifies the key issues that this research seeks to address, such as the erosion of traditional knowledge and the loss of cultural heritage due to globalization. The objectives of the study are to examine the impact of globalization on indigenous spiritual practices, identify the factors driving these changes, and explore the strategies that indigenous communities are employing to preserve and revitalize their spiritual traditions.
