Sustainable procurement practices have gained increasing attention in the manufacturing industry as organizations strive to align their operations with environmental and social responsibility goals. This study aims to analyze the implementation and impact of sustainable procurement practices in the manufacturing industry, focusing on the challenges, opportunities, and outcomes associated with these practices. By examining the current landscape of sustainable procurement in manufacturing, this research seeks to provide insights into best practices and strategies for enhancing sustainability within supply chains. The research methodology employed in this study includes a comprehensive literature review to establish a theoretical foundation for understanding sustainable procurement practices in the manufacturing context. Additionally, primary data collection methods such as surveys and interviews will be used to gather empirical evidence from manufacturing organizations actively engaged in sustainable procurement initiatives. Chapter 1 introduces the research topic and provides an overview of the background, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the thesis, and definition of key terms. Chapter 2 presents a detailed literature review covering ten key aspects of sustainable procurement practices in the manufacturing industry, including the drivers, challenges, benefits, risks, and best practices.
