Abstract
This thesis investigates the impact of blockchain technology on supply chain management in the retail industry. The adoption of blockchain technology has the potential to revolutionize how supply chains operate, offering increased transparency, security, and efficiency. The study aims to explore the benefits and challenges of integrating blockchain technology into retail supply chains, with a focus on understanding how this technology can enhance trust, traceability, and accountability among supply chain participants. The research methodology involves a comprehensive literature review to understand the current landscape of blockchain technology in supply chain management. Primary data will be collected through interviews and surveys with key stakeholders in the retail industry to gather insights on their experiences, perceptions, and expectations regarding blockchain implementation. The data will be analyzed using qualitative and quantitative methods to identify trends, patterns, and implications for supply chain practices. Findings from the study reveal that blockchain technology can streamline supply chain operations by enabling real-time tracking of products, reducing fraud and counterfeiting, and improving overall supply chain visibility.
