Abstract
Effective negotiation skills play a crucial role in enhancing the timely delivery of materials in organizations. This research project focuses on exploring how negotiation skills can be utilized as a tool to improve the material delivery process within the context of Nocaco, a fictional company. By conducting a case study at Nocaco, this research aims to identify the key negotiation strategies and techniques that can be implemented to ensure timely delivery of materials. The research methodology involves a combination of qualitative and quantitative approaches. Data will be collected through interviews with key stakeholders at Nocaco, including procurement managers, suppliers, and logistics personnel. Additionally, survey questionnaires will be distributed to employees involved in the material delivery process to gather their perspectives on the current challenges and opportunities for improvement. The findings of this research are expected to highlight the importance of effective negotiation skills in streamlining the material delivery process. By identifying potential bottlenecks and conflicts in the negotiation process, Nocaco can develop strategies to overcome these challenges and improve overall efficiency. The research will also provide insights into the role of communication, relationship building, and problem-solving in successful negotiations for material delivery. Furthermore, this study aims to propose a framework for integrating negotiation skills training into the organizational culture at Nocaco. By fostering a negotiation-friendly environment and equipping employees with the necessary skills and knowledge, Nocaco can create a more collaborative and efficient material delivery process. This framework will outline the key training modules and resources needed to enhance negotiation skills among employees. Overall, this research project contributes to the existing literature on negotiation skills and their application in supply chain management. By focusing on the specific context of material delivery at Nocaco, this study provides practical insights and recommendations for improving the timeliness and effectiveness of material deliveries through enhanced negotiation skills. Introduction

This project work is titled Negotiation skills as tool for enhancing timely delivery of material. It is inevitable for every organization whether big or small, private or public to procure materials for production or for consumption. Such material can be raw material, finished goods or equipment which may cost an organisation a huge amount of money. In order to achieve the right materials at the right time of delivery and for the right place, negotiation should take place.

In these research work, emphasis will be laid on stressing out the various negotiation techniques available in the field of purchasing and supply. The techniques will tremendously enhance the procurement of material at a very economic cost and shortest possible time of receiving the order of materials. Negotiation is very important in the course of buying materials or services because of enhancing timely delivery of materials.

In industry and at most level of government, the term “Negotiation” frequently, causes misunderstandings confused with “Haggling” and price chiseling”. In government negotiation is frequently per solved to be a nefarious means of avoiding competitive bidding and of awarding large contracts surreptatiously to forward suppliers.
