This thesis explores the strategies and mechanisms for enhancing citizen engagement in local government decision-making processes, with a focus on improving transparency, accountability, and effectiveness in governance. The research adopts a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews to gather data from both government officials and community members. The introduction provides a background to the study, highlighting the importance of citizen engagement in fostering democratic governance and addressing public service delivery challenges.
