Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs) have emerged as a key mechanism for delivering infrastructure projects in urban areas around the world. This thesis aims to analyze the effectiveness of PPPs in urban infrastructure development, focusing on the key factors that contribute to successful partnerships and the challenges that hinder their success. The study begins with a comprehensive review of existing literature on PPPs, examining the various models, benefits, and risks associated with these partnerships. The research methodology section outlines the approach taken to gather data for the study, including a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods such as interviews, surveys, and case studies. The findings from these methods are then presented and analyzed in Chapter Four, which provides an in-depth discussion of the key factors influencing the effectiveness of PPPs in urban infrastructure development. Key themes explored in the discussion include the importance of clear roles and responsibilities, effective communication and collaboration between public and private sector partners, risk allocation strategies, and the impact of regulatory frameworks on PPP success.
