Abstract
Digital transformation has emerged as a key driver for enhancing government service delivery worldwide. This thesis investigates the impact of digital transformation on government service delivery, with a specific focus on XYZ Municipality as a case study. The study aims to explore how the adoption of digital technologies has influenced the efficiency, effectiveness, and citizen satisfaction with government services in the municipality. The research methodology employed a mixed-methods approach, combining both quantitative and qualitative data collection techniques. Through surveys, interviews, and document analysis, data was collected from government officials, employees, and citizens of XYZ Municipality. The literature review revealed key concepts related to digital transformation in the public sector, government service delivery, and the benefits and challenges associated with digitalization. The findings of the study indicate that the implementation of digital technologies in XYZ Municipality has led to improvements in service delivery processes, increased transparency, and enhanced accessibility to government services for citizens. However, challenges such as digital divide, data privacy concerns, and resistance to change were also identified as barriers to successful digital transformation.
