Abstract
The advancement of technology has transformed the way governments deliver services to their citizens, particularly in developing countries. E-government initiatives have been widely adopted as a means to enhance public service delivery and improve governance processes. This thesis examines the impact of e-government on public service delivery in developing countries, focusing on the benefits, challenges, and outcomes associated with the implementation of e-government systems. The study begins with an exploration of the theoretical foundations of e-government and its relevance to public administration in developing countries. It investigates the background of e-government initiatives, the problem statement surrounding public service delivery in developing countries, and the objectives of the study. The limitations and scope of the research are also outlined, along with the significance of the study and the structure of the thesis. A comprehensive literature review is conducted in Chapter Two, which explores ten key themes related to e-government and public service delivery in developing countries. The review synthesizes existing research on e-government adoption, challenges, and success factors, providing a theoretical framework for the study. Chapter Three details the research methodology employed in this study, including the research design, data collection methods, sampling techniques, and data analysis procedures. The chapter also discusses ethical considerations and limitations of the research methodology. In Chapter Four, the findings of the study are presented and discussed in detail. The impact of e-government on public service delivery in developing countries is examined through the analysis of empirical data collected from government officials, stakeholders, and citizens. The chapter explores the benefits of e-government in improving service delivery, as well as the challenges and barriers faced in the implementation of e-government systems. Finally, Chapter Five provides a conclusion and summary of the thesis. The key findings of the study are summarized, and recommendations are made for policymakers, government officials, and other stakeholders to enhance the effectiveness of e-government initiatives in improving public service delivery in developing countries. Overall, this thesis contributes to the existing literature on e-government and public service delivery by providing insights into the impact of e-government initiatives in developing countries. Thesis Overview

The research project titled "The Impact of E-Government on Public Service Delivery in Developing Countries" seeks to explore and analyze the influence of electronic government (e-government) initiatives on the delivery of public services in developing countries. By examining the experiences of selected developing countries that have implemented e-government programs, the research aims to identify the opportunities and challenges associated with the adoption of e-government in the context of public service delivery. The research will employ a mixed-methods approach, combining qualitative and quantitative data collection methods to provide a comprehensive understanding of the topic. Qualitative methods such as interviews with government officials, IT experts, and service users will be used to gather insights into the implementation and outcomes of e-government initiatives. Additionally, quantitative methods such as surveys and data analysis will be employed to measure and assess the impact of e-government on various aspects of public service delivery. The findings of this study are expected to contribute to the existing body of knowledge on e-government and public administration in developing countries. By providing a detailed analysis of the impact of e-government on public service delivery, the research aims to offer valuable insights and recommendations for policymakers, government officials, and other stakeholders involved in the design and implementation of e-government initiatives in developing countries.
