This thesis investigates the implementation of performance-based budgeting in local government agencies, focusing on a case study analysis. The study explores the background, challenges, and significance of adopting performance-based budgeting practices in the public sector, particularly at the local government level. By examining the objectives, limitations, scope, and structure of the thesis, the research sets the stage for a comprehensive analysis of the subject matter.
