In recent years, the implementation of e-government services has gained increasing attention as a means to enhance citizen participation in local governance. This thesis aims to assess the impact of e-government services on citizen engagement in local governance processes. The study explores the effectiveness of e-government initiatives in promoting transparency, accountability, and efficiency in local government operations. A mixed-methods approach will be utilized to gather data, including surveys, interviews, and case studies. The thesis begins with an introduction to the research topic, providing background information on e-government services and their potential benefits for citizen participation in local governance. The problem statement identifies the gaps in current research and highlights the need for a comprehensive assessment of e-government initiatives in the context of local governance. The objectives of the study are outlined to guide the research process, focusing on evaluating the impact of e-government services on citizen engagement.
