In recent years, the advancement of technology has significantly transformed the way governments interact with citizens, particularly at the local level. E-government initiatives have been implemented to enhance citizen participation in local government decision-making processes. This study explores the impact of e-government on citizen participation in local government decision-making and aims to provide insights into the effectiveness of these initiatives. The research begins with a comprehensive introduction that sets the context for the study, followed by a background of the study that highlights the evolution of e-government and its relevance in enhancing citizen engagement. The problem statement identifies the gaps in existing literature regarding the impact of e-government on citizen participation, leading to the formulation of research objectives to address these gaps. The study also acknowledges the limitations and scope of the research, providing a clear understanding of its boundaries. The significance of the study is highlighted to emphasize the relevance of the research findings in the field of public administration.
