The rapid evolution of social media platforms has transformed the landscape of political discourse and public opinion in contemporary societies. This thesis investigates the multifaceted role of social media in influencing political discussions and shaping public perceptions. Through a comprehensive analysis of existing literature, the study explores the impact of social media on political communication, public engagement, and the formation of attitudes and opinions. The research methodology involves a combination of quantitative and qualitative approaches, including content analysis, surveys, and interviews with key stakeholders in the political arena. Chapter One provides an introduction to the research topic, presenting the background of the study, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the thesis, and definitions of key terms.
