Abstract
The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of exercise intensity on cardiovascular function in young adults. Physical activity is known to have numerous benefits on cardiovascular health, but the specific impact of exercise intensity on cardiovascular function, particularly in young adults, remains an area that warrants further exploration. This research sought to address this gap by examining how different levels of exercise intensity influence various aspects of cardiovascular function, including heart rate, blood pressure, and vascular health. The study involved a sample of young adults aged between 18-25 years, who were divided into three groups based on their exercise intensity levels low, moderate, and high intensity. Participants underwent a series of cardiovascular assessments before and after a structured exercise session to determine the acute effects of exercise intensity on cardiovascular function. Measurements included heart rate variability, blood pressure readings, and vascular endothelial function assessments. The results of the study revealed significant differences in cardiovascular responses between the three exercise intensity groups. Participants in the high-intensity group demonstrated the greatest improvements in cardiovascular function, including lower resting heart rates, improved blood pressure regulation, and enhanced vascular reactivity. In contrast, participants in the low-intensity group showed minimal changes in cardiovascular parameters, highlighting the importance of exercise intensity in eliciting beneficial cardiovascular adaptations.
