Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) techniques are crucial to maximize hydrocarbon production from mature oil fields. This thesis focuses on the optimization of EOR techniques for mature oil fields to improve recovery rates and extend the economic life of these reservoirs. The study addresses the challenges faced in implementing EOR methods in mature fields, including technical constraints, economic viability, and environmental considerations. Through a comprehensive literature review, various EOR techniques such as chemical flooding, gas injection, and thermal methods are evaluated for their applicability in mature fields. The research methodology involves a combination of field data analysis, simulation studies, and economic modeling to assess the performance of different EOR techniques in mature oil fields.
