Enhanced oil recovery (EOR) techniques play a vital role in maximizing oil production from mature oil fields, where conventional recovery methods have reached their limits. This thesis explores various EOR techniques and their application in mature oil fields to improve recovery rates and extend the economic life of oil reservoirs. Chapter One provides an introduction to the study, discussing the background, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the thesis, and definitions of key terms. Chapter Two presents a comprehensive literature review covering ten key aspects of EOR techniques and their effectiveness in mature oil fields. Chapter Three outlines the research methodology, including the study design, data collection methods, sampling techniques, data analysis procedures, and ethical considerations, among others. In Chapter Four, the findings of the study are extensively discussed, highlighting the application of different EOR techniques in practical scenarios within mature oil fields.
