Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology has gained significant attention in recent years for its potential applications in various sectors, including libraries. This thesis explores the implementation of RFID technology in library management systems to enhance efficiency, security, and user experience. The study begins with an overview of the background of RFID technology in libraries, highlighting its benefits and challenges. The problem statement identifies the current limitations of traditional library systems and the need for a more advanced technology solution. The objectives of the study are to assess the impact of RFID technology on library operations, evaluate its effectiveness in improving services, and identify best practices for successful implementation. The literature review in this thesis provides a comprehensive analysis of existing studies and research findings related to RFID technology in library settings. Ten key themes are explored, including RFID technology basics, benefits for libraries, challenges and considerations, implementation strategies, user perceptions, security and privacy concerns, cost implications, staff training, and future trends.
