This thesis explores the implementation of artificial intelligence (AI) technology in library cataloging and information retrieval systems. As the volume of information continues to grow exponentially in the digital age, libraries face challenges in efficiently organizing, cataloging, and retrieving information for their users. AI technologies offer promising solutions to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of library operations. This study investigates the potential benefits, challenges, and implications of integrating AI technologies in library settings. Chapter One provides an introduction to the research topic, discussing the background of the study, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the thesis, and definition of terms. The chapter sets the stage for the exploration of AI technology in library cataloging and information retrieval. Chapter Two presents a comprehensive literature review on AI technologies in library and information science.
