This thesis explores the implementation of a Digital Asset Management System (DAMS) within a university library setting. The primary objective of this research is to address the challenges faced by university libraries in managing their digital assets efficiently and effectively. The study focuses on the importance of adopting a DAMS to streamline the organization, storage, retrieval, and sharing of digital content within the library. The research begins with an introduction that highlights the significance of digital asset management in contemporary library operations. The background of the study provides an overview of the evolution of digital libraries and the increasing need for advanced systems to manage digital assets. The problem statement identifies the existing gaps and challenges faced by university libraries in managing their digital content. The objectives of the study aim to propose solutions to enhance digital asset management practices in university libraries. The limitations and scope of the study are outlined to clarify the boundaries and constraints of the research. The significance of the study emphasizes the potential benefits of implementing a DAMS in improving library services and user experiences.
