This thesis investigates the impact of digital technologies on information literacy skills within the context of Library Science Education. Information literacy is a crucial skill set for students and professionals in the library and information science field to effectively locate, evaluate, and use information resources. The integration of digital technologies in library science education has brought about both opportunities and challenges in developing information literacy competencies. Chapter One provides an introduction to the study, outlining the background, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure, and definition of terms. The chapter sets the foundation for understanding the importance of information literacy skills in the digital age and the need to explore the impact of digital technologies on these skills. Chapter Two consists of a comprehensive literature review that examines existing research on information literacy, digital technologies, and their intersection in Library Science Education.
