The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in the legal profession has revolutionized the way legal services are delivered, offering both opportunities and challenges. This thesis explores the impact of AI on the legal profession, addressing the opportunities it presents and the challenges it poses. The study begins with an examination of the background of AI and its applications in the legal sector, highlighting the transformative potential of these technologies. The problem statement identifies the key issues surrounding the adoption of AI in the legal profession, including concerns about job displacement and ethical considerations. The objectives of this study are to analyze the effects of AI on legal workflows, assess the benefits and limitations of AI integration, and propose strategies for maximizing the opportunities presented by AI while mitigating its challenges. The scope of the study encompasses various areas of the legal profession, including legal research, contract analysis, document review, and predictive analytics. The significance of this study lies in its contribution to the understanding of how AI is reshaping the legal landscape and the implications for legal practitioners, law firms, and clients. The structure of the thesis is organized into five chapters.
