Abstract
This thesis investigates the impact of probiotics supplementation on gut microbiota composition and its influence on metabolic health in individuals diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes. The study explores the potential therapeutic role of probiotics in mitigating the metabolic disturbances associated with diabetes by modulating the gut microbiota. The research methodology involved a randomized controlled trial with a sample of participants diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes, who were provided with probiotics supplementation over a specified period. The gut microbiota composition was analyzed using advanced sequencing techniques before and after the intervention to assess changes resulting from probiotics supplementation.
