Abstract
This thesis investigates the impact of sustainable agriculture practices on rural household income and food security. Sustainable agriculture is gaining recognition as a vital approach to addressing environmental degradation, economic instability, and food insecurity in rural communities. The research aims to explore how the adoption of sustainable agriculture practices can enhance rural household income levels and improve food security outcomes. The study employs a mixed-methods research design, comprising both quantitative and qualitative data collection methods. A thorough literature review is conducted to provide a comprehensive understanding of sustainable agriculture practices, rural household income dynamics, and food security issues. The research methodology includes surveys, interviews, and focus group discussions with rural farmers and key stakeholders in the agricultural sector. Chapter 4 presents the detailed discussion of findings, including the analysis of survey data, qualitative interviews, and focus group discussions. The results reveal the positive impact of sustainable agriculture practices on rural household income generation and food security enhancement. Factors such as access to resources, training and education, market opportunities, and policy support are identified as critical determinants of successful sustainable agriculture initiatives.
