Abstract
This thesis investigates the impact of household food waste management strategies on food security in rural communities. The issue of food waste is a significant challenge globally, particularly in rural areas where food insecurity is prevalent. The study aims to explore how effective waste management practices at the household level can contribute to enhancing food security in rural communities. The research methodology employed a mixed-methods approach, including surveys, interviews, and observations to gather data from selected rural households. The study revealed that food waste management strategies, such as composting, recycling, and meal planning, play a crucial role in reducing food waste and improving food security outcomes.
