Abstract
This thesis investigates the impact of sustainable farming practices on rural household income and food security. Sustainable agriculture is increasingly recognized as a solution to address the challenges of food insecurity and poverty in rural communities. The study aims to assess the effectiveness of sustainable farming practices in enhancing household income and food security in rural areas. The research methodology involved a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews with rural households practicing sustainable farming methods. Chapter One provides an introduction to the study, outlining the background, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance of the study, and the structure of the thesis. Chapter Two presents a thorough literature review on sustainable farming practices, rural household income, and food security, highlighting key concepts and previous research findings. Chapter Three details the research methodology, including sampling techniques, data collection methods, and analysis procedures. Chapter Four presents the findings of the study, discussing the impact of sustainable farming practices on rural household income and food security based on the data collected.
