Through a comprehensive examination of historical records, scholarly analyses, and cultural artifacts, this research delves into the multifaceted ways in which colonialism altered the social, political, economic, and cultural landscapes of these two diverse nations. Chapter one provides an introductory overview of the research, presenting the background of the study, defining the problem statement, outlining the objectives, discussing the limitations and scope of the study, highlighting the significance, and structuring the thesis. Additionally, key terms pertinent to the research are defined to ensure clarity and understanding.
