Colonialism has played a significant role in shaping the histories and cultures of indigenous populations in Africa and Asia. This comparative study aims to explore the lasting impact of colonial rule on the cultural identities and traditions of indigenous communities in these regions. By examining the historical context and colonial policies of European powers in Africa and Asian countries, this research seeks to identify similarities and differences in the ways colonialism affected indigenous cultures. The study begins with an introduction that provides a background of colonialism in Africa and Asia, highlighting the key historical events that shaped the colonial period. The problem statement underscores the need to understand the long-term consequences of colonial rule on indigenous cultures. The objectives of the study focus on analyzing how colonial policies influenced cultural practices, identities, and traditions of indigenous groups. The limitations and scope of the study are also outlined to provide a clear framework for the research. Chapter two presents a comprehensive literature review that examines existing scholarship on the impact of colonialism on indigenous cultures in Africa and Asia.
