This thesis explores the profound impact of colonialism on indigenous cultures through a comparative study focusing on Africa and South America. The research delves into the historical contexts of colonial encounters, examining how European colonization disrupted and transformed the cultural landscapes of these regions. By comparing the experiences of indigenous communities in Africa and South America, this study aims to shed light on the diverse ways in which colonialism shaped cultural identities, social structures, and economic systems. The introductory chapter sets the stage by providing background information on colonialism, highlighting the significance of studying its effects on indigenous cultures. The problem statement underscores the need to critically analyze the repercussions of colonial interventions on traditional ways of life.
