Thesis Abstract

Abstract
This research project examines the history of Native Americans in North America, focusing on the challenges they have faced and their resilience in the face of adversity. Through a comprehensive literature review, the historical context of Native American communities, their interactions with European settlers and the U.S. government, and the impacts of colonization, forced relocation, and assimilation policies are analyzed. The research methodology incorporates indigenous perspectives, oral histories, and community-based participatory research approaches to highlight the resilience and cultural survival strategies of Native American peoples. The study aims to elevate indigenous voices, challenge dominant narratives of conquest and assimilation, and promote understanding of the ongoing struggles and contributions of Native American communities.
