Abstract
This thesis explores the impact of mindfulness practices on stress reduction in college athletes. Stress is a common occurrence in the lives of college athletes due to the demands of academic responsibilities, athletic training, and competition. Mindfulness practices have gained attention as a potential tool for managing stress and improving overall well-being. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effectiveness of mindfulness practices in reducing stress levels among college athletes. Chapter 1 provides an introduction to the study, discussing the background, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the thesis, and definitions of key terms. Chapter 2 offers a comprehensive literature review covering ten relevant studies on mindfulness practices, stress management, and athlete well-being.
