Abstract
Climate change is a pressing global issue that has significant implications for coastal areas, including increased rates of erosion. This study aims to analyze the impact of climate change on coastal erosion rates, focusing on understanding the factors contributing to erosion and assessing the implications for coastal communities. The research methodology involves a comprehensive literature review to examine existing studies on climate change and coastal erosion, as well as field data collection to analyze erosion rates in specific coastal regions. The study will also utilize remote sensing techniques to assess changes in coastal morphology over time. The findings of this study reveal a clear correlation between climate change and coastal erosion rates, with rising sea levels and increasing storm frequency contributing to accelerated erosion processes. The implications of these findings highlight the urgent need for adaptive coastal management strategies to mitigate the impacts of erosion on coastal communities and ecosystems. In conclusion, this thesis provides valuable insights into the complex interactions between climate change and coastal erosion, emphasizing the importance of integrated approaches to coastal management that consider both environmental and socio-economic factors.
