Abstract
Climate change is a pressing global issue that has significant implications for coastal regions worldwide. This thesis aims to investigate the impact of climate change on coastal erosion patterns in a specific coastal region, with a focus on understanding the processes and dynamics involved. Through a case study approach, this research explores how changing climate conditions are influencing coastal erosion and shaping the geomorphology of the study area. The introductory chapter provides a comprehensive overview of the research topic, including the background of the study, problem statement, objectives, limitations, scope, significance, structure of the thesis, and definitions of key terms. Chapter Two presents a detailed literature review covering ten key themes related to climate change, coastal erosion, and relevant theoretical frameworks. This chapter synthesizes existing knowledge and identifies gaps in the literature to guide the empirical research. Chapter Three outlines the research methodology employed in this study, including data collection methods, sampling techniques, data analysis procedures, and ethical considerations. The methodology chapter also describes the tools and techniques used to assess coastal erosion patterns and analyze the impact of climate change in the specific coastal region under investigation. In Chapter Four, the findings of the research are presented and discussed in detail.
