Abstract
This thesis investigates the impact of climate change on coastal erosion in a specific region, aiming to provide a comprehensive understanding of the challenges posed by changing climatic conditions on coastal areas. Through a mixed-methods approach, data was collected and analyzed to assess the extent of coastal erosion, identify the underlying causes, and evaluate the implications for both the environment and communities residing in the region. The study utilized remote sensing techniques, geographic information systems (GIS), and field surveys to gather data on coastal erosion patterns, sea level rise, storm events, and human activities along the coast. The literature review revealed the complex interplay between climate change factors such as rising sea levels, changing weather patterns, and human-induced activities, which contribute to accelerated coastal erosion. Various mitigation and adaptation strategies proposed in the literature were critically analyzed to determine their effectiveness in addressing the challenges of coastal erosion in the face of climate change.
