Social media platforms have become an integral part of modern society, especially among young adults. This research project aims to investigate the impact of social media on the mental health of young adults. The study will explore how the use of social media affects various aspects of mental health, including self-esteem, depression, anxiety, and overall well-being. Chapter 1 provides an introduction to the topic, delving into the background of the study and presenting the problem statement. The objectives of the study are outlined, along with the limitations and scope of the research. The significance of the study is discussed, highlighting the importance of understanding the relationship between social media and mental health in young adults.
