Abstract
This thesis focuses on the development of sustainable packaging solutions for fresh produce in retail settings. The demand for environmentally friendly packaging options has been increasing due to growing concerns about the impact of traditional packaging materials on the environment. This research project aims to address this need by exploring innovative packaging solutions that are both sustainable and practical for use in retail environments. The introduction section provides background information on the importance of sustainable packaging in the food industry. The problem statement highlights the challenges associated with traditional packaging materials and the need for more eco-friendly alternatives. The objectives of the study are to investigate different sustainable packaging options, evaluate their effectiveness in preserving fresh produce, and assess consumer perceptions towards sustainable packaging in retail settings.
