Abstract
This study analyzes and compares the environmental impacts of three common wastewater treatment systems conventional activated sludge, membrane bioreactor, and constructed wetlands. Key areas of comparison include energy usage, greenhouse gas emissions, water consumption, effluent quality, land usage, and costs. Field sampling and laboratory testing are conducted to evaluate the treatment performance of each system. The results provide insight into the tradeoffs of different wastewater treatment approaches and their overall sustainability.
